Achievements of Institution and Vidhyalay
A) Institution i.e. the Uttan Krushi Sanshodhan Sanstha (UKSS)
1) The year 2007-08 was dedicated to the slogan “Banjar Bhumi ko Upajaoo Banaanaa”, and accordingly around 6 acre uneven, rocky and barren land and 4 acre salty land converted into cultivable land. Thereby, cultivation of different crops, fruits and vegetables was executed successfully by using the method of Organic Farming i.e. not using chemical fertilizers/pesticides and using only organic manure. Considering the priority and contribution in Organic Farming by the UKSS, the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation accorded 2nd prize for the year 2006-07 and 1st prize for the year 2007-08 in the exhibition under category of fruits, flowers and vegetables, to the UKSS

2) The UKSS initiated a successful scheme viz. Madhuban Pariyojana*, through which common people were encouraged for tree plantation and conservation in the names of their ancestors. Over 1000 people supported the scheme and now there are about 2,000 trees in the campus, under this scheme. Considering the contribution made by the UKSS in the field of environment protection and rejuvenation, the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation accorded the reward of ‘Vruksha-Mitra’ *(At present the scheme ‘Madhuban Pariyojana’ is paused for the want of additional land.)

3) Sufficient and continuous water supply is the necessity for execution of all social development and social reforming projects and for protection of environment and its rejuvenation. The requirement of drinking water for human resources of all sister organizations of Keshavsrushti is partially fulfilled by the water supply system of Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation. However, the requirement of water for cleaning and general use and for gardening is 51,000 liter per day. To cope up the requirement of water, Keshavsrushti and its associated organizations used to purchase the water from water suppliers through tankers and to pay sizable amount for the purpose. To overcome the situation, the year 2008-09 was dedicated for the project viz. “Tanker-Free Keshavsrushti”. Accordingly, a major infrastructural work of development of two lakes viz. Madhuban and Jitawani, having water restoring capacity of four crore liters and two crore liters, respectively, has been started. The said project is yet to complete and requires additional funds in the form of donation. However, water supply from said two lakes has been started to sister organizations with available water and their expenses for the purpose have been curtailed sizably.

B) Vidyalay i.e. Keshavsrushti Krishi Tantra Vidyalay (KKTV)
